Does anyone know a way or a workaround to have the step by step (frame by frame) capabilities using the mms protocol or better the rtsp protocol? The impression I got was that they're talking about doing this binary protocol for android for efficiency reasons, and supporting that on the gtalk servers in .... on all phones (voice data, IP data, sms/mms, etc). MMS Protocol
Some of my users cannot stream from my WMS server using the MMS protol. Media Player simply does not connect. I'm 99% sure it is a setting in the user profile because other users can logon to the same workstation and it works fine for them. Plus, when the users for whom it does not work go to another workstation

Can't use MMS protocol on asx files for WMP8

Ah - the page is kind of odd, and I didn't notice the scroll bar on the right, because it does not extend to the bottom of the page. I did some more testing on this. The problem just seems to be a filtering issue here - Media Player wants to use TCP destination port 1755 for MMS protocol.
